Set Up Your Account

Instagram business accounts are managed through Meta Business Manager.

  1. Go to business.facebook.com/create and select Create Account.
  2. Enter your name and confirm your identity using your Facebook login credentials.
  3. Follow the prompts to set up your business account.

Assign at least two team members as backup account admins. Then register your new account.

Best Practices

  • Complete your profile. Use your social media profile logo, write a clear bio that explains who you are, and include an updated link.
  • Stay on brand. Keep visuals, tone, and messaging consistent so followers recognize your content.
  • Post with purpose. Share content that educates, informs, or inspires your audience. Prioritize quality over quantity.
  • Use high-quality visuals. Bright, clear photos and well-designed graphics perform best on Instagram.
  • Write engaging captions. Start with a strong hook, keep it concise, and include a call to action.
  • Use hashtags strategically. Use relevant, targeted hashtags instead of overly broad ones.
  • Engage with your community. Respond to comments and messages promptly to build trust and connection.
  • Make content accessible. Add alt text to images, use captions for videos, and avoid excessive text in graphics. Follow accessibility best practices.
  • Monitor performance. Review Insights regularly to see what resonates and refine your strategy.
  • Maintain account security. Assign roles through Meta Business Manager and avoid shared logins.
