When visitors flock to the 11 museums or collections during the 12th annual UC Davis Biodiversity Museum Day on Saturday, Feb. 18 and stop at the Bohart Museum of Entomology, they'll see scores of displays, including the colorful monarch butterflies.

You won't want to miss bee biologist Lauren Ponisio's UC Davis seminar on "Disease in Plant-Pollinator Communities.

Lauren Ponisio, an assistant professor of biology at the University of Oregon who seeks to preserve and restore populations of bees and other pollinators, will speak on "Disease in Plant-Pollinator Communities" at the UC Davis Department of Entomology and Nematology seminar at 4:10 p.m.

Crowdfunding is underway for the 12th annual UC Davis Biodiversity Museum Day, a major all-volunteer project hailed as a "Super Science Day." The event, set Saturday, Feb. 18, will showcase 11 museums or collections on campus. It's free and family friendly.
