NEW 4-H Youth Member Enrollment Process
(If you were enrolled last year, please follow the returning member process)
The 4-H program year runs through June 30 of each year
Welcome to Alameda County 4-H!
We're excited to have you join us. Follow the steps below to become an active 4-H member.
1. Find a Club
Visit the Alameda County 4-H Clubs page and review the club flyers to find a club near you.
2. Contact the Club
Reach out to the club leader or enrollment coordinator listed on the flyer. They can answer your questions, tell you about available projects, and invite you to attend a club meeting before enrolling.
Your club leader will let you know which projects are open for enrollment. Select the projects and activities that interest you. (Note that projects are added to the club’s project list as they are submitted by the project leader.)
4. Enroll in ZSuite
- Create your family profile in ZSuite.
- All family members are enrolled under a single family profile.
- Review the ZSuite Enrollment Tip Sheet for step-by-step guidance to complete and.submit all required enrollment information.
- After submission, your youth enrollment status will display as Pending Approval.
- A parent or guardian must log in to complete and submit the waivers, including the medical release.
- Use an email address that you check regularly for 4-H communications and enrollment updates.
5. Pay the Enrollment Fees
The annual enrollment fee is $150 per youth. Fees are paid online by credit card.
6. Become an Active Member
After the Alameda County 4-H Office reviews and approves your enrollment, you will receive a confirmation email, and your membership status will change to Active. Once your membership is active, you may participate in 4-H activities and events at the club, county, regional, and state levels. If you participate in a project offered by another county, a cross-county participation form may be required.
