This two-day workshop will cover the important aspects of drone applications in forest environments, including:

- Part 107 Remote Pilot’s Certification

- Useful Resources
- Equipment, campaign planning and preparation
- Hands-on flight practice
- Autonomous mission planning
- Post-flight data assessment and management
- Photogrammetric processing and geographic information systems (GIS)

This workshop is primarily intended for CalFire, CCC, and Tahoe Environmental Research Center affiliates. However, if seats remain available following the registrations of these organizations' members, the remaining spaces will be offered to a limited number of UC ANR associates free of charge. The status of additional space availability will be sent to waitlist participants the week before the workshop, by October 9th.
This course content is the result of a collaborative effort between UC ANR IGIS Statewide Program, and the USDA-NIFA/NSF AI Institute for Next Generation Food Systems (AIFS).
