National 4-H Week to be Celebrated with a Contest Plan to Participate! In honor of National 4-H Week, please plan to participate in the annual Fresno County 4-H Window Display/Social Media Contest. Fresno Countys 4-H observance is- September 22 - 28, 2024 due to our county fair dates.

Building a ready generation in a world of change, 4-H equips youth with skills for the future while meeting them where they are today. Becoming Beyond Ready encompasses opportunities and experiences, connections and discovery, shaping youth into their true and authentic selves.

The Kings County 4-H Leaders Council meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Kings UCCE Multi-Purpose Room to discuss 4-H business, plan events, and develop the program. All Kings County 4-H adult volunteers, senior youth members, and parents are encouraged to attend.

What you will learn: Basic steps to plan, grow, and harvest fall winter veggies. Learn about unique varieties of green, cole, and root crops. Sources for seeds, plant starts, and growing information. Impact of climate on plants and insect pests. Free seeds, seedlings and more.
