The University of California 4-H Youth Development Program has published a new strategic plan designed to increase its impact. The mission of the UC 4-H Youth Development Program engages youth in reaching their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development.

Thirteen-year-old Celeste Harrison, a fourth-year member of the Sherwood Forest 4-H Club, Vallejo, shares her expertise about chili and cavies (guinea pigs), but she's also a pro in the kitchen and at making a dessert called Chocoflan. The 2019 Ventura County 4-H Food Faire was held on Saturday, February 2nd at Will Rogers Elementary School in Ventura. Nineteen members participated from three clubs: Conejo-Simi, Loma Vista, and Somis. There were three food categories to enter: main dish, appetizer, and dessert.
