Who Youth ages 5-18 years old What Join UC Master Food Preserver volunteers and learn to make your very own jam or jelly to enter in the 2025 El Dorado County Fair--plus take a jar home to enjoy! Choose from apple, grape, peach, or strawberry.

Elementary age kids- join us at Woodward Park library for a hands-on activity to build, create, or craft together. Materials will be provided.

4-H Regional Presentation Day March 28th (9-3pm)- Fort Jones, Siskiyou Co.

Instructor: Barbara Brydon Location: Sherwood Demonstration Garden, 6699 Campus Dr. Placerville Fee: Free! Pre-registration is required! After learning some basics about parts and needs of plants, children will plant a succulent cutting in a small pot.

Learn the art and science behind composting from a local Certified Master Composter. Learn about the importance of managing your organic waste (food scraps and yard trimmings) at home. As the drought worsens and the climate warms, home-based waste management has never been more relevant.
