Winter Fruit Tree Pruning

Do you have fruit trees in need of pruning? Do you want help sorting out the difference between a thinning cut and a heading cut?

Bring your gloves and clippers for a hands-on fruit tree pruning demonstration at Sydalyn Hill in Felton!

After a brief demonstration and orientation, you’ll join Master Gardener, Diane Mahan in the orchard for an opportunity to analyze established fruit trees and practice your new-found pruning skills.

This class will be conducted outside. Gloves, pruners, hat, sunscreen, layered clothing, sturdy walking shoes, and a water bottle are recommended.

In the event of rain, the class will be rescheduled to January 31st, 2026.

Después de una breve demostración y orientación, te unirás a la Maestra Jardinera, Diane Mahan, en el huerto para analizar árboles frutales establecidos y practicar tus habilidades de poda recién adquiridas.

Esta clase se llevará a cabo al aire libre. Se recomiendan guantes, tijeras de podar, sombrero, protector solar, ropa en capas, zapatos cómodos para caminar y una botella de agua. 

En caso de lluvia, la clase se reprogramará para el 31 de enero de 2026.
