Migration from Site Builder and Blogs to Drupal was completed March 24, 2025. This page provides reference information on what was and was not migrated.
What Was Migrated
Active sites and blogs
Only published sites and blogs and their content were migrated. Draft and inactive pages and their assets were not migrated. Published content in Site Builder was set as "Published" in Drupal.
Images and files
Only files in active use on published pages were migrated. Alt text, title attributes, and captions were migrated where populated. Unused images and files were not migrated.
Meta descriptions
Existing meta descriptions were migrated. Each page in Drupal should have a unique and descriptive meta description.
What Was Not Migrated
The following were not migrated and may be assessed for possible future migration:
- Some Site Builder assets — ANR Survey Tool integration, Site Builder blog comments, and newsletter subscribers
- Custom Site Builder assets — widgets built for one site or unit's use, including the Universal Review System, custom databases and media players, and custom survey result pages
- Removed and inactive pages and assets — these are no longer editable in Site Builder and will eventually be permanently deleted. Back up any needed content to a cloud service such as Box.
- Sites hosted on other platforms — WordPress, SiteFarm, UC IPM Cold Fusion, and similar platforms were not in scope
- Sites with no owner, no traffic, or no content — these were made inactive and not migrated
Not in Scope
The following were not affected by the migration and remain unchanged:
- ANR Portal applications — ANR Survey Tool, Collaborative Tools, Bibliography, Repository, and Volunteer Management Systems
- Customized websites — not part of the foundational build; custom enhancements can be requested for future phases
