Research Rates are approved on an annual basis.
The full cost rates for research conducted at Kearney REC for 2024-2025 have been approved for the period July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
PER ACRE RATE
FULL COST Per Acre Research Rate: $6,007.00
NON-UC RESEARCH COST Per Acre Research Rate: *$8,169.52
UC RESEARCH COST Per Acre Research Rate: $3,741.27
HOURLY RATE (field/greenhouse/post-harvest)
FULL COST Direct Research Hourly Rate: $61.89 per hour
NON-UC RESEARCH COST Direct Research Hourly Rate: *$84.17 per hour
UC RESEARCH COST Direct Research Hourly Rate: $49.70 per hour
GREENHOUSE RATE
The Full Greenhouse Rate will be $2.27 per square foot for UC researchers. The non-UC research cost will be full cost plus 36% NUD totaling $3.09 per square foot of space.
The center will not fund down any project with 0.5 acre or less . The minimum charge for acreage will be 0.25
* A Non-University fee of 36% is added to the Full Cost Rate for Non-UC Led Research.
