4-H Higher Education Scholarships

2026 Tehama County 4-H Scholarship

Award Criteria:         

  • 2026 Graduating high school senior, active 4-H member.
  • Enrolled in 4-H for at least three (3) years while attending high school.
  • Complete the entire application on or before March 25, 2026 by 5:00pm.
  • If awarded a scholarship, you must enroll at a recognized college, university, vocational school, or enlist in the military within 12 months of the date awarded or all monies will be forfeited.

Ron Knight Sheep Memorial Award

“Outstanding 4-H Sheep Project Member of the Year”

All 4-H members currently enrolled in a 4-H Sheep Project are eligible to apply. Applications are due to the UCCE Tehama office by TBA.

Each year, one individual will be recognized and honored. The selection committee will review the 4-H member’s application and critique their Tehama District Fair participation.

Award Criteria:         

  • Sheep Project Leadership (30pts.)
  • Sheep project has shown growth in size and scope (15pts.)
  • Shares sheep knowledge and skills with others (20pts.)
  • Participates at countywide sheep events and activities (20pts.)
  • Sheep exhibit(s) at this year’s Tehama District Fair (15pts.)

Tractor Supply "Paper Clover"

The Tractor Supply Company has been sponsoring a means for 4-H in local communities across the country to raise money, awareness and other support by giving their customers the opportunity to donate funds through the “paper clover” campaigns held in the Spring and Fall. Donations collected through the “paper clover” campaigns will provide scholarship opportunities for 4-H camp, conferences, and other leadership experiences.
