Interested in learning about Southern California's coastal ecosystems, participating in citizen science and sharing your knowledge with others? USC Sea Grant and the USC Environmental Studies Program are offering an interactive 10-week course to provide participants with a strong understanding of the natural history and environmental issues of California, with an emphasis on coastal and watershed areas of the Los Angeles region.
Dates: The course will occur weekly from February 6 through April 16, 2020. The course includes occasional Saturday field trips (dates will be discussed at the first day of class). Time: Classes will be held on Thursdays from 3:30-5:30pm
Location: USC campus
Cost: $165; fee reductions are available. UC academic course credit is available for an additional fee. Please bring your preferred method of payment to the first day of class.
Participants who complete all course requirements will be certified as California Naturalists through the UC California Naturalist Program, and will receive a certificate of completion and a pin.
