Straw Bale Gardening Attendees will learn all one needs to know about straw bale gardening, including: selecting, preparing and conditioning the straw bales; planting seeds, seedlings or plants in them; soils; and caring for the gardens and straw bales.

The workshop will feature presentations by various experts and researchers focusing on best irrigation and nutrient management practices tailored specifically for young orchards in the San Joaquin Valley.
