Learn to grow berries, tomatoes, squash, and beans in a short summer  

Join the UC Master Gardeners of Lake Tahoe for an essential workshop dedicated to high elevation gardening in the summertime. In this free class, we will cover how to grow berries, tomatoes, beans, and squash.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Pro tips for cultivating berries, tomatoes, squash, and beans in a short growing season.
  • Managing the intense high-elevation UV rays and keeping your plants hydrated during our dry summer spells.
  • How to attract and keep pollinators in your garden to ensure a heavy fruit set.
  • Techniques to speed up ripening so you can harvest your tomatoes and squash before the first fall frost.
