Soil types vary greatly in the Amador County foothills, even within the same neighborhood.  It’s important to get to know your soil.  Join us for discussion, activities, and demonstrations that will help you learn about soil properties and soil management.

• Explain important soil properties that affect your garden.
• Discuss soil management for fertility and sustainability.
• Demonstrate the effect of helpful and harmful gardening practices on improving your garden soil quality.
