Roses - Varieties and Culture

This talk will discuss rose plant production practices, varieties, and general culture for these plants.
John Karlik, now emeritus, was an Advisor with UC Cooperative Extension for 38 years, working in the areas of environmental horticulture and environmental science. For a time, Kern County was the leading production center for rose plants (not flowers) in the United States. John worked on various rose projects, and also participated in four international rose symposia.
