UC Master Gardeners of Butte County Workshops
Our local group of UC Master Gardeners teaches a variety of informative workshops every spring and fall. Workshops are free, but registration is required.
Friends of the Herbarium Workshops
The Chico State Herbarium is the most complete repository of plant specimens from northeastern California. They offer low cost workshops and classes on various botanical topics.
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at CSU, Chico
OLLI hosts a variety of classes, including classes on gardening. Butte County Master Gardeners often conducts series of workshops in the spring and fall. Workshops for the upcoming semester are listed right before the semester begins.

Step by step videos on how to train young trees, what they should look like, and general pruning tips and techniques.
California Native Plant Society (CNPS)
Hosts videos of a wide variety of topics, and includes videos from multiple chapters.
Naturehood Gardening webinars are hosted by CNPS. They provide valuable information on gardening with native plants, habitat, and how to conserve resources. Past videos are available for viewing.
Regenerative Agriculture 101
A series of videos on how to improve your soil using cover crops and biomass; crop rotation; soil inoculants, compost and manures; and conservation methods provided by the Regenerative Agriculture program at Chico State.
UC Integrated Pest Management (UCIPM)
Explores a variety of pest related topics, and includes recordings of online workshops.
UC Master Gardener Program
Contains a variety of topics of interest to tje home gardener.
