4-H Program

4-H is a positive youth development (PYD) program committed to building the "5 Cs"—competence, confidence, character, caring, and connection— in young adults. PYD instills greater academic achievement, civic engagement, leadership, healthy living, and decision-making skills in local youth. Agriculture and Natural Resources Programs

UCCE Butte County develops programs that address the unique needs of the agricultural community and the environment, focusing on research and outreach to support sustainable practices and resource management. Nutrition Programs

We conduct educational activities and workshops that revolve around nutrition, physical activity, and gardening to combat and address critical issues of malnutrition, obesity, and diabetes in our communities. Master Gardener Program

Our trained volunteers provide expertise in horticulture and botany, offering suggestions and strategies to home gardeners on a wide range of subjects, including pest and wildlife management, disease control, water conservation, and sustainable gardening practices.
