4-H Newsletter

Dear 4-H Families, Everyone that participated in working at the 4-H Clover Deli at fair is invited to a celebration Thank You party on November 11th. We greatly appreciate all the support of the chairman's, Clover Deli crew and 4-H families that make this tradition a success.

Dear 4-H Families, Attached is a flyer with information for a dairy cattle show clinic we will be hosting here in Monterey County. The clinic is open to anyone who shows dairy cattle as well as anyone who may be interested in what goes into the showing and daily care of dairy cattle.

Dear 4-H Families, The 4-H June newsletter has many new updates on fairs, events and new articles! We just received approval to hold small 4-H meetings. We can only have a maximum of 8 youth and 2 adults until further notice. The UCCE Santa Cruz and 4-H office are still working remote.

Dear Rabbit 4-H families, We were unable to attach this to the 4-H newsletter do to the size of the article. Please see the attached information on the terrible rabbit disease wiping out colonies of rabbits. If you have any additional questions, please contact your local Vet or 4-H office.

You are invited to join Santa Cruz 4-H program on May 11th, Tuesday for a magic show. You will have to pre-register at https://tinyurl.com/SCC4Hvms Show starts at 7 pm so log in at 6:30 pm for county 4-H club meeting.

Dont miss out on this exciting event!! The San Benito County Fair is hosting a Vegetable Judging Contest similar to the other local Fairs. See the attached flyer. It will be Friday at 5:00 PM on September 30th (sign ups by 2 PM) in the Ag Hort Department.

Hello Livestock Leaders and Families, Just a reminder if you are showing swine, sheep or goat at San Benito county fair you will need to notify your leader for a pre-tagging request. Leaders will need to submit an email to Dara Tobias, fair manager a pre-tag livestock tag request.

Dear 4-H families, We can meet in person again! please see the 4-H newsletter for COVID requirements. Our office is still working remotely. If you need to meet in person call me or email. I will make arrangement to met you at the 4-H office.

Hello livestock families, We received an updated letter from YQCA on the changes to their system deadline on March 22nd. Please be proactive in getting your current YQCA certificate printed before the old YQCA system closes on March 22nd.
