Video -- Developing an IPM approach for management of tadpole shrimp in rice: summary of a CA DPR grant

This video is a short summary of a research grant funded by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation. This project addressed various aspects of tadpole shrimp management in California rice including shrimp damage potential, interplay between planting timing, temperature, and damage, biological control, predation of weeds by shrimp, pyrethroid resistance, and a novel shrimp scouting tool.

Project leaders were Ian Grettenberger - University of California, Davis/University of California Cooperative Extension (UCD/UCCE), Whitney Brim-DeForest - UCCE, and Luis Espino - UCCE. Other key personnel include Madi Hendrick (UCD), Sophie Allen (UCD), Kevin Goding (UCD), Dima Jones (UCD), Cara Razma (UCD),Taiyu Guan (UCCE), Troy Clark (UCCE), and Consuelo Baez Vega (UCCE).
