In collaboration with the Resource Conservation Service of Santa Cruz County we will have an in-person training on the CropManage online irrigation and nutrient management decision support tool at the UC Cooperative Extension Office in Watsonville (500 West Ridge Dr, Watsonville CA) on March 27 from 10:30 to 2 pm. Lunch is provided.
The CropManage online tool was developed by UC Cooperative Extension and can assist you in efficient irrigation and nitrogen management and help you comply with Ag Order 4.0 water quality regulations. CropManage is free and can be accessed from the field with a smartphone or tablet computer through a web browser. CropManage supports most of the crops grown in our region including strawberries, caneberries, cool season vegetables, peppers, and vineyards. This hands-on training provides step-by-step instruction to learn how to use the free software. You can learn more about CropManage here
Who should participate? Growers, farm managers, other farm staff, crop advisors, consultants, and technical service providers are welcome. The workshop is for both new and current CropManage users. Spanish translation will be available. Lunch will be provided.
Important--What to bring? This is a participatory workshop.
• Please bring a tablet or laptop so that you can follow along and participate in the exercises.
• Each participant will need a user account for CropManage.
• Please set up a free user account at https://cropmanage.ucanr.edu/ before the workshop. Please arrive early to set up your laptop or tablet computer on the wifi and get logged on to CropManage.
