Employee Support Resources and Services

At UC ANR, we recognize that every employee's circumstances and support needs are unique. Whether you're managing a disability or health condition, facing an urgent personal or workplace issue, balancing work and family responsibilities, or seeking guidance to resolve workplace concerns, a variety of resources and services are available to support you.

To help you navigate these options, we've compiled the information below, including resources related to disability management, urgent support services, employee assistance, ombuds services and other programs that promote employee well-being, inclusion and success in the workplace.

Contact humanresources@ucanr.edu for any additional questions or needs.

Catastrophic Leave

UC ANR’s Catastrophic Leave Sharing Program allows eligible employees to donate accrued vacation time to a central leave bank or receive donated hours when they have exhausted all paid leave due to a severe illness, injury or natural disaster.

The Catastrophic Leave Program reflects the generosity and compassion of the UC ANR community by allowing employees to donate accrued vacation leave to a shared leave bank that supports colleagues facing extended absences due to serious illness or emergency. Thanks to these donations, many employees have received the leave they needed during challenging times. As the program continues to provide this important support, additional leave donations are encouraged to help ensure the leave bank remains available for employees who may need assistance in the future.

  • Donate Hours: Submit a catastrophic leave donation form to tangmart@ucanr.edu. Participation is entirely voluntary, and donations are anonymous.

Disability Management Services

Disability Management Services supports academics and staff with compassion, respect and practical guidance throughout the accommodation and disability management process. We partner with employees, supervisors and managers to provide confidential assistance with reasonable accommodation, return-to-work planning and disability-related concerns. Contact Jodi Rosenbaum, jrosenbaum@ucanr.edu, for additional information.

Academic and Staff Assistance Program (ASAP)

The Academic and Staff Assistance Program (ASAP) supports academics, staff and their families by providing confidential resources to help navigate personal and workplace challenges. Through counseling, consultation, referrals and educational programs, ASAP promotes well-being, resilience and work-life balance, helping employees access the support they need to thrive both personally and professionally. In addition to individual support, ASAP offers workshops, training and support groups that provide practical tools, foster connection and help employees build skills to support their mental health and overall well-being. ASAP Training, Workshops, and Drop-In Support | Human Resources
