Partner with 4-H

Are you part of a school, after school, military site, or other program looking to partner with 4-H?

Interested in working with 4-H to bring 4-H curriculum and training into your program? There are new types of 4-H clubs that are setup to permit 4-H to partner with schools, after school and other youth programs and allow us to provide staff training and curriculum. Allowing 4-H to foster new ideas to revitalize existing programs. In rural and urban areas, 4-H pioneers programs to offer education projects in drama, arts and crafts, cooking, math, science, leadership, community service, and reading. To reach any youth, 4-H collaborates with organizations and partners in any San Diego community. 4-H provides a variety of research based, experiential learning opportunities to California youth in an assortment of environments and with consistent positive outcomes.

How does 4-H impact the lives of youth?

The latest impacts of the University of California 4-H Youth Development Program are in our 2019-2020 Annual Report and 2018-2019 Annual Report.

According to Waves of the Future - The First Five Years of the 4-H Study of Positive Youth Development (2009) , when compared to other youth, 4-H'ers excel and are:

  • 25% more likely to contribute to their families, themselves, and their communities.
  • more likely to see themselves going to college.
  • 41% less likely to engage in risk/problem behavior.
