PLANT: Post-human Living Adaptive Negotiated Technologies - Designing Symbiotic Living with Plants
Please Joint Jiawen Chen, Tian Qin, and Xiao Peng (Master of Design program at UC Berkeley) to talk about their project to explore human-plant symbiosis.
Description: PLANT is a speculative design project that explores alternative modes of living shaped by human-plant symbiosis. It asks how plants might hold greater agency in regulating the environments we inhabit. Through an immersive installation set in a near-future domestic space, along with narrative broadcasts, speculative artifacts, and system diagrams, PLANT imagines a world in which plants actively shape light, atmosphere, and spatial conditions in living space.
