UC Food Safety provides links to presentations, publications, and other websites that offer information related to the production, harvesting, and processing of food. The emphasis is on microbial food safety, with additional information on biotechnology, food quality, and food security.

Pressure Canner Guage Testing

Cottage Food Operations

Cottage Food Operations (CFOs) are private-home kitchens used by individuals to prepare and/or package non-potentially hazardous foods under the Cottage Foods bill. UC Master Food Preservers do not advise on CFO products since they are for commercial use, but we encourage people to learn more about the program.
