Who Are Master Gardeners and What Do They Do?

The UC Master Gardeners of Colusa County are trained agents of the University of California, through the University of California Cooperative Extension, our purpose is to extend research based knowledge and information on home gardening issues to the residents of Colusa County.

The UC Master Gardener program of Colusa County works to serve the diverse communities of Colusa County. Master Gardeners are people of all ages from all walks of life who want to give back to their communities. We volunteer our time to help people learn about gardening.

WHAT DO WE DO?

  • Master Gardeners of Colusa County help gardeners by extending the information they have learned through a variety of programs and projects, including workshops, newsletters, and plant clinics.
  • Volunteers answer gardening questions at our office, through email, facebook, our website and at the local farmers markets.
  • Other events include Colusa County Fair, Family Faire, and the Arbuckle Pumpkin festival.
