Dr. Esther (Mosase) Lofton

Dr. Esther (Mosase) Lofton brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her role as Urban Watershed Resilience Advisor with UC Cooperative Extension, Orange County. With a diverse background in water resources engineering, water management, and community engagement, Dr. Lofton is dedicated to promoting sustainable water practices, supporting resilient watersheds, and advancing equitable access to clean and safe water for communities across Southern California.

Her work focuses on drinking and environmental water quality, indoor and outdoor water use efficiency, commercial, industrial, and institutional water efficiency, water supply security, watershed health, and water equity. She holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering.

Mr. Daniel Gonzalez II

Former GrizzlyCorps Fellow
South Coast REC / UC Cooperative Extension, Orange County

Mr. Daniel Gonzalez II previously served as an Associate Research Extension Specialist at South Coast REC and UC Cooperative Extension, Orange County, through the GrizzlyCorps Fellowship. His work focused on developing nature-based solutions for stormwater management practices in Southern California.

Daniel is passionate about community outreach and extension, with a strong commitment to helping communities access clean and safe water. He holds a B.S. in Environmental Science.

The Urban Watershed Resilience Program collaborates with university researchers, public agencies, water districts, community-based organizations, and regional partners to support water education, outreach, applied research, and watershed resilience across Southern California.

Our partners bring expertise in drinking and environmental water quality, stormwater, groundwater, urban water management, water use efficiency, recycled water, environmental monitoring, climate resilience, public education, and water equity.

Together, these collaborations help connect science, community needs, and practical solutions that support healthier watersheds, more sustainable water practices, and more resilient communities
