Glenn County 4-H Clubs Celebrate National 4-H Week Through Creative Window Displays
During the week of October 5-11, 2025, Glenn County 4-H joined communities across the nation in celebrating National 4-H Week, a time to recognize the positive impact 4-H has on youth, families, and communities.
As part of this year’s celebration, local 4-H clubs participated in the National 4-H Week Window Display Competition, showcasing their creativity and club spirit through themed displays throughout Glenn County. The displays aimed to promote 4-H to the public, encourage youth involvement, and highlight how 4-H inspires young people to “learn by doing.”
Each participating club designed and decorated a window display that reflected this year’s theme, “Beyond Ready,” using posters, photos, and creative elements that capture what 4-H means to them and how they are beyond ready to take on challenges and opportunities.
Glenn County 4-H would like to extend sincere thanks to the evaluators who took time out of their busy schedules to evaluate the displays: Deanna Rogers, Lea Minto, Kathy Bartels, and Samantha Skelly. Special thanks also go to each business that generously allowed 4-H members to use their facilities for this annual tradition: Glenn County Farm Bureau, Country Pumpkins, Dr. Corona’s Office, and Three Little Birds.
The following are the results from the Window Display Evaluations, earning a Gold: 1st Place - Lake 4-H Club ($100.00 Club Award) and 2nd Place - Capay 4-H Club ($75.00 Club Award). Earning a Blue: 3rd Place – Stoney Creek 4-H Club ($50.00 Club Award) and 4th Place Plaza 4-H Club.
Each window display beautifully represented the pride and creativity of our 4-H you. We are grateful for the effort our members and leaders put into sharing what 4-H means to them and to our community.
