Butte County 4-H Summer Camp

Event Overview and Purpose: 

Butte County 4-H Summer Camp allows youth the opportunity to spend time outdoors and discover new things. Youth can swim, play, make crafts, sing, dance, and much more. Not only do youth often make new friends at camp, but they have an opportunity to develop qualities of positive youth development.

Youth who are ages 9-13 are campers, while youth ages 14-19 are typically teen counselors.

Registration Details:

Registrations for camp are accepted until camp capacity is full and then remaining registrations are put on a waiting list.  Registrations are first come, first serve, so get your applications in fast! Payment is due with your registration to reserve your spot.

Camp Counselor Information 

Teen Camp Counselor Overview: 

Being a Teen Camp Counselor is an opportunity for youth who are ages 14 and up.  Teen Counselors have the chance to teach and mentor youth who are under their supervision with the guidance of the adult chaperons.  Each Teen Counselor gets to lead a portion of Camp, like campfire, waterfront, recreation, and more! 

To be a Camp Counselor, a Teen must be:

-A registered 4-H youth

-At least age 14 by December 31 of the program year

-Have prior Camp experience or council approval

-Be able to attend at least 6 of the Camp Counselor meetings

-Be able to attend Camp all 5 days

 

How do I become a Teen Counselor? 

Youth who wish to become a Teen Camp Counselor must in a completed Teen Counselor Application and Resume by the deadline.

When are the Teen Counselor meetings? 

Camp Counselor Meetings for 2025-2026:
Every 1st Monday of the month at 7:00pm (unless otherwise specified below)
