Fresno County Master Gardeners offer a variety of in-person and zoom community education classes. Except for a few make it take it classes our classes are free to the public. Questions about these classes or other information needed, please contact the Fresno Master Gardener helpline by e-mail.

Come and learn the basics of warm season vegetable gardening to ensure a bumper crop in your yard.  MG Gwen will cover such topics as: designing your garden, growing from plants and seeds, how to improve your garden soil, irrigation, weeds, encouraging the good bugs, and preventing garden problems.  Please download the chart listed below and bring it along with your questions to the class. Print and bring the following handout to class on Sat.

Growing  Oyster Mushrooms at home

This is a hands-on educational presentation and demonstration on growing oyster mushrooms at home, with a focus on their role in composting, sustainable food production, and permaculture systems. Taught by Randi Jimenez PhD, Sr. Environmental Scientist who grows them fun.

Propagation of Houseplants

This engaging workshop will introduce you to a variety of propagation techniques, including cuttings, grafting, air layering, and air budding.  Learn how to select the right plant material, prepare and care for new plants, and apply each method effectively to produce healthy and thriving specimens.  This workshop also covers the science behind plant growth and regeneration.
