The UC Master Gardener Program in Contra Costa currently operates four demonstration gardens that support our public education programs. For more information, please visit the following:
'Our Garden'
on the corner of Shadelands and North Wiget in Walnut Creek.
Join for weekly garden talks under the big oak tree, presented by UC Master Gardeners every Wednesday from April through October.
Rivertown
at the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds in Antioch.
Open every Tuesday from 10 am to noon, February through October.
Richmond Low Water Garden
at the Richmond Civic Center.
Open every day for a self-guided tour currently containing six distinct areas, each featuring low-water and drought-tolerant plants.
Water Conservation Garden
on Portola Drive, just downhill from Navellier Street in El Cerrito.
This educational garden is experimenting with new and old technologies to collect and save water.
